When we had all the ice last week, Brad was out braving the elements and the girls and I were inside staying warm and making crafts. This particular day we made snowmen. Nothing fancy.
I talked to my sister that morning and I gave her this idea but I suggested she glue
cotton balls on the snowman. I was going to do the same and then I thought finger painting the snowman by using our finger pointer would be a great exercise for Mel to practice...
I cut a snowman out of blue construction paper.
The girls glued
googley eyes on them.
Then they started painting with their pointer finger...
Then I gave them red and orange to make the nose and the mouth.
This was a bit hard for Mel, but she finally got it...
B decided it would be neat to put glitter on them. I also thought that was a great idea.
I am STILL digging sparkles out of the grooves in my table!
After the glitter, I wished I would have just gone with the original cotton ball idea.
B experimented by mixing colors...
B cut out the hats all by herself.
I hot glued the sticks on the snowman.
Mel's...
B's(it's a Peter Pan snowman)...
