Fun at the fair...

Last week was our county's fair. Brad and I aren't big fair ride people. We would rather go and enjoy the food, tractor pulls, and livestock shows. We pretty much vowed that we wouldn't take B on the rides until she was old enough to ask(i know...mean parents!!:0) Well, this year she asked and so we took her. We invited her friend Lily to join us, so Brad and I wouldn't have to ride with her. She had a blast. The midway wasn't very crowded and I am so thankful for that. Large crowds and I don't exactly mix.

She even went on the tilt-a-whirl...not once, but twice...in a ROW. She was walking a little funny after the second time...

We bought B a slip-n-slide the other day from Wal-Mart. It was the best $9.00 we have ever spent. Yesterday she was on it all day, except for her two hour nap. I joined her in the fun also, and I am SO sore....it was a lot of fun though!!

I can hold my own bottle...

Melaney has been holding her own bottle for a couple weeks now. In that time, she also learned how to drink from a sippy cup, so I think that helped her to learn how to tip the bottle up. This is a big deal for us because B never held her own bottle. She is down to only three bottles a day now(morning, naptime, and bedtime). I am thankful for that because she hasn't been a big bottle drinker since she was born. I will be glad to have her off the bottle completely!!!:0)

We don't round bale our hay anymore. Instead we bale them into HUGE square bales. The things are so big compared to the girls.
Melaney is officially eating "people food". She refuses to eat baby food. Once she had the real stuff there was no turning back. We don't really blame her. Her favorite foods are peas, mandarin oranges, and baked beans, but she pretty much eats anything you put in front of her!!

I went in to wake her from her nap this morning and saw her like this....

Gotta love sleeping babies...so innocent and peaceful!!!

Her mom came up with the great idea of putting their wedding rings on her toes. I love the idea, but she moved her feet so much that the pix turned out blurry. This was the best photo I could get.

B wanted to go swimming the other day, but Brad didn't have time to get the pool down so we compromised and she ran through the sprinkler.
Waving at Mary Ann...our mail lady. She was on vacation a couple weeks ago and B kept asking, "where is Mary Ann." I guess she realized it was a different vehicle (she is a smart cookie!!:) We saw Mary Ann at church that Sunday and B asked her where she had been....the next day she put a note in the mailbox with stickers for B. Such a nice lady.

I love this one...

She had to put her hat on...I don't know why, but I didn't feel like arguing with her. I have learned to pick my battles!
