Easy Peasy Strawberry Shortcake...

Today because it's hot.
Because we are finished planting.
Because my garden is flourishing.
Because I like you guys.
And because it is strawberry pickin' season, I am going to share my secret strawberry shortcake recipe with all of you!

Now, it's top secret so only you can use it!

Got it?

Just kidding.
Pass it on because all I use is this...
 That's right!
Flip that box over and on the back is the recipe for Strawberry Shortcake.
Easy Peasy and Simply Scrumptious!

Mix together the Bisquick mix, milk, sugar, and melted margarine...

The recipe says to make individual shortcakes, but I just pour the batter in one pan and bake it at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
 The end result...
Simply satisfying, scrumptious, easy peasy....the perfect summer dessert!

(The recipe makes an 8x8 pan, but I usually double it and bake it in a 9x13 pan for the same amount of time)

Now go buy a box of Bisquick!!!!

  1. Too funny, Sarah! I just made this the other day when it was 100+ degrees here. Something about strawberry shortcake on a hot day, huh?? So glad to hear all is well on the farm - planting, your garden, etc. :) Love seeing pics of the guys at work.
