Five Question Friday...

I feel like I am in a huge blogging rut right now.  I blame it on the weather.  I have been blaming everything on the nasty rainy weather lately.

"Why is your grass so tall?"
"Because of the weather."

"I haven't seen you in a while."
"It's because of the weather.  I hibernate when it's cold, snowing, or raining outside."

"Why is your house a mess?"
"Because of the weather."

"I saw passed you on the road the other day and you didn't wave."
"It's because of the weather."

Like I said, everything can be blamed on the weather.  The forecast is calling for sunshine today and Saturday then rain again on Sunday.  Ugh!  However, I still feel blessed that we haven't had to deal with the horrible storms like the people in the south have.  Those people are definitely in my thoughts.

So, as a result of my blogging rut, I am linking up for Five Question Friday over at Five Crooked Halos.

1. If you could buy any car, money not an option, what would it be?

Definitely a Tahoe.  I currently have one and absolutely LOVE it.  I will probably drive it until it dies.  The only other thing I would trade it for would be a Suburban....for the extra room.

2. What was your worst first date ever?
Well, I  really only had one first date because I met the hubs when I was 16.  However, I went to prom my junior year with a group of friends.  We ate at a nice steak house in downtown Indy and the waiter brought us our salads.  My "date"/friend turned to me and asked me to cut his salad.  I looked at him with a look that said, "You're joking, right?  Right?  PLEASE tell me you are JOKING!  You are a JUNIOR in high school and you can't cut your own salad?"
Well, he wasn't joking and he then proceeded to tell me that his mom always cut his salad for him.  He had to learn real quick how to do it himself.

3. How old were you when you fell in love for the first time?
16.

4. When was the last time you reconciled your checkbook?
Yesterday.

5. If you were going to fashion a "Wanted" Ad for a best friend, how would you word it?

Wanted: A best friend who I can call once a month, because that is all I have time for.  Can't mind screaming kids in the background during this phone call.  Kids of your own would be nice, but isn't a prerequisite.  You just need to understand if I can't make it to every event or stay out all night because I have kids and it is hard to find a babysitter sometimes and, I have to get up with them the next day and don't have the luxury to sleep in in the morning.  Also, it would be nice if you had a husband who had something in common with my husband.

I hope to kick myself into 4-wheel drive this weekend and get out of this blogging rut I am in by next week.

Happy Friday friends.  Have a great weekend!

  3. Just stopping by from 5QF Linky!

I think kids or no kids, life just tends to be incredibly busy and we all have best friends that understand we're not so good with the "best" part from time to time. ha

  9. Too funny about the salad! I'm in the same weather funk as you, and I don't care how warm it is outside right now, I froze my butt off at our 5K this morning and am STILL thawing out. Gonna have to hit the hot tub tonight!

  11. It has been rainy here (Nova Scotia) for seriously 2 weeks now. I just want it to be warm enough to turn all of the heat off, of and dry enough to go outside to play.

I always find your blog entertaining to read. Are you on pinterest Sarah? It's my newest addiction.
