B is as goofy as ever...
She is growing like crazy. It needs to warm up because her 4T clothes are too short.
She knows her ABC's.
Is able to write all of her ABC's and numbers 1-20.
Can count to 30.
Is able to write her name by heart.
Is able to write other things just has to be told the spelling.
Is developing quite the attitude! (I am hoping it is just her age and not her, although several people have told me it is her age.)
She is realizing the concept of money and that in order to get things you want/need you have to pay for them. She is becoming quite the saver! She just hasn't developed the concept of how MUCH things cost. She will take a quarter to Wal-Mart and want to buy 3 things with it, but she is learning.
She loves the outdoors.
She loves to run...I think track may be a future event for her!
She is FULL of stories. Half of them don't make sense, but she has a heck of an imagination.
She is not a morning person. She is a night owl, like me. We have a hard time getting her to go to sleep at night sometimes. She will come downstairs several times and ask us obvious questions. We have found that bribing her with money works the best. If she stays in bed, then she gets a quarter in the morning. So far this is working. She loves her money!
She loves to read and is even starting to put letter sounds together and read words.
Most of the time she is just your average 4 yr. old enjoying life.
Mel is getting quite big...well actually she is tiny for her age, but she is getting big to us. She is pretty independent, but still loves to be held and cuddled. She loves to give hugs and kisses. The best ones are when you don't have to ask her for them. She just comes up and puts her arms around you and gives a kiss. She doesn't have to be rocked to sleep but sometimes she asks us to by pointing to the rocking chair in her room and of course we oblige.
Can say several words. Maybe not that everyone else can understand, but Brad and I can. I think B understands her language more than us.
She can say:plug(aka. pacifier), tractor, pig, cow, duck, horse, kitty, dog, chicken, sheep, goat, sucker, shoes, book, B, Tuff, Mommy, Daddy, Go Go, ball, outside, baby, drink peek-a-boo, Uh-OH, and yay. As well as the phrases: "What's that?" and "Look at that!" I am sure there are more that I can't think of right now, but that is most of them.
She isn't a huge eater. She goes a couple days without eating much at all, then we can't give her enough to eat. I guess that is why she only weighs 23 lbs at 20 months.
She still takes a pacifier. I know some people judge me because of it, but I don't really care. I know it will be gone when both of us are ready and we aren't at the moment. She is still little and I know they say they don't start developing attachments until they are 12 or 15 months old, but I feel like they need to understand where it is going when we take it away. I have been through it before. B was 2.5 years old and we buried hers in the garden and she turned out just fine.
She is pretty shy around most people.
Sometimes she shows interest in the potty. I am not pushing that either. It will happen when it happens! I have a feeling B may be the one to train her!
She currently has all of her teeth but two on the top and two on the bottom...and her two year molars, of course. Ugh! I dread when those start coming in. Those were the worst for B...maybe Mel will be different.
She loves having her teeth brushed.
Here she is showing you her teeth....
Most of the time she is quite the character and she is definitely a Daddy's girl...
Your kids are stinkin' cute! Great pictures!
