We welcomed our newest addition to the family last Monday. Miss Jody came into our world at 3:46 pm weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.
I had to be induced. This is nothing new to me as I had to be induced with B and Mel also.
The only thing that didn't go as planned during the labor process was the epidural.
All the anesthesiologists were in surgery and I only had my epidural in for about 15 minutes before it was time to push and it finally kicked in about 5 minutes before it was time to push. I almost had to do without, which terrified me!
Proud big sisters and Dad...
The girls each got her a new stuffed animal. They think every time she cries she needs her stuffed animals...
A little teamwork...
The girls enjoy reading to her...
Mel finally decided to hold her yesterday (Sunday) and she finally said her name today. She had been calling her "baby."
We are adjusting gradually. The hardest part is from 7-10 in the evening. That is her fussy period. Luckily, she is a good sleeper and only wakes us once in the night (hopefully I didn't just jinx myself!) That is a huge difference from the other two. They were every two hours for at least the first month it seemed like!
Love my girls...
So precious! Congrats on the beautiful family mama!
