Spring Break...

Wow!  I really don't like it when my internet decides to be as slow as a sloth.  It's even worse when one day you have the luxury of enjoying WIFI in the big city and the next day, your already slow internet connection is even slower.  I have been trying to get this post up for the last 24 hours.  Ridiculous, but it seems to be cooperating today...fingers crossed.

Last week was B's Spring Break.  I began the week with some serious Mommy Guilt.  It seemed like everyone was heading south and we were stuck here in "the ville" to do nothing.  Some tears were shed and Brad told me I was over reacting.  He asked me what I did on Spring Break as a kid and I said, "We cleaned house."  With that I decided that B's Spring Break wouldn't be too bad.  The only day that she was stuck cleaning was the morning her friend was expected to arrive.  She vacuumed the living room carpet all on her own.  No begging from me.  Our week actually turned out to be pretty awesome.

We spent some time at the playground and Mel conquered her fear of heights...

The girls started their flower seeds....

My sister and her kiddos came by for a day (and I have no pictures).

We went shopping with my mom on her birthday.  (Again, no pictures.)

BFF Margaret came to spend the night...
We baked Easter cookies...
The girls jumped on the trampoline...

Margaret loves coming to our house because we always do a craft.  I had no craft planned, but I pulled an idea out of the air and it actually turned out pretty cute.  Details to come!
Being silly...
Monkey see, monkey do...

They rode 4-wheelers.  A lot...

More time was spent at the playground...

Honey-do jobs were completed...

Games were played. (Note the helmet.  She would sleep in it if we would let her!)
One last picture before saying goodbye to Margaret...
And one without the helmet...
Our Spring Break ended with a cook out in our almost complete fire pit.
By the way, fire roasted Peeps are delicious!

So, our Spring Break wasn't so bad.  B began the week by asking when school was going to start again.   Thursday, I asked her if she was ready to go back and she said, "Nah."  Proof that you don't have to head south to have a good time!
