noisy...

We are in the process of remodeling our upstairs bathroom (photos of that to come later). Brad was sawing the bathtub to get it out. It was really loud, so b had to cover her ears.
I decided it was too loud for the girls' little ears so we moved to the bedroom. love the grin in this pic...

and finally mel who always goes with the flow...so thankful for that because sometimes it is pretty chaotic around here!!:)

miss mel...

This is what I get to wake up to every morning!:) Mel is a morning person like her daddy! B, on the other hand, is NOT a morning person, like me! That is why I don't post pix of b first thing in the morning!
It was warm this past weekend and, while Brad and I were on vacation, I thought our parents might be taking the girls outside. Melaney needed a hat, so I dug this one out of the closet. B wore it a lot when she was this age and, as you can see, she stretched it out. B's head was a lot bigger than mel's at this age!:0)

She has been crawling for a little over a month. She has been staying in the living room, but made her way into the kitchen last week!

a picture to share...

In a previous post I wrote about a little girl named Cora who passed away at the age of 11 months. She had neuroblastoma cancer. I was just reading more about this precious babe and saw this photo. It truly looks like she is looking up to Heaven and grinning at God!

I don't know this family at all. They live in Kansas(i believe), but I still find myself weeping while reading about this little girl. I have never met them, but I feel like I have known them all my life. My heart and prayers go out to them!

lucky...

I have been a bit of a "blog junkie" lately. I have been spending a lot of time on the computer editing pics and while doing so I have ran across some interesting blogs. These blogs have made me extremely thankful for the two sweet babes that I have. Sometimes I feel like we get so wrapped up in our lives that we forget to thank God for what He has given us. I ran across two heart wrenching blogs. One was from a mother of twin girls who suffered from spinal muscular atrophy(www.sweetgirlies.blogspot.com). They were the same age as my dear, sweet Mel. Their dates of birth were only a few days apart. They, unfortunately, lost their battle with sma last week. The other was of a mother of a little girl, named Cora, who had cancer. (check out her story at http://www.themcclenahans.blogspot.com/ ) I don't think she was 1 yet. I couldn't help but shed a tear(okay several tears) and thank God for my two girls while reading both of their stories.

since when do we have 3 goats???.......

I went outside yesterday and the goats were being exceptionally loud. I didn't really think anything of it, so I went inside. I kept hearing them and looked out the window and realized that we had a third goat. I immediately called Brad and asked, "since when do we have 3 goats?" He didn't know anything about it. Evidently, he had told our Amish neighbors, and friends, to drop one off when they got a chance because he thought it would be neat to have baby goats!!!! So, that is where the third one came from. Our goats stay in their pen. Thank goodness for that because I would be a little upset if they ate my flowers. This goat gets out all the time and he is so tame. Brad came home last night and it was at the back door. Brad opened the door and the darn thing almost came in the house!!! I'm all for pets inside, but not goats!:) Brad put it back in its pin and by the time brad made it back in the house, he was out again. Instead of having a dog or cat whining at the door, we have a goat. I'm just hoping we have baby goats in the works sometime soon!!!

(L to R) Dora, Boots, and new goat(swiper the fox as b calls him) If you have never seen Dora the Explorer, then you probably won't get the humor in that one!

New goat....kinda cute....if you like goats!! Sounds like we might have baby goats for sale. So if you want one, give me a ring. They are the small goats...a lot cuter than the big ones.(i think)
