The Children's Museum...

We went to the Children's Museum Tuesday with my sister and her little girl.

They have this really neat exhibit set up of youth that have made a difference.....The exhibits include Anne Frank, Ruby Bridges, and Ryan White. They have a room setup that is an exact replica of Ryan White's bedroom. His mother donated all of his things to the museum.

This was a dollhouse that Eli Lilly made for his daughter. It was so cute.......wouldn't mind having one of these in my backyard!

And of course, B is right at home on the skid loader...

I know.......I am a horrible parent! I let my daughter chew on germ filled things!

And crawl where everyone walks! I am even a bit of a germophobe, but they have to build up their immune system somehow, right?

My cousin Denise went with us to help corral all the kids!

We also went into the King Tut exhibit. You had to have tickets especially for that exhibit because they only let a certain amount of people in at a time. You can't take photographs, and I was a little disappointed about that, but Mel was soooo tired by that point, I don't think I would have had a chance to take any!

or so she thinks! I bought this shirt at Charlotte Russe (my new favorite store...thanks Denise for introducing me to it!!) B wanted to wear it when we got home from shopping because she thinks it makes her fly. What an imagination!!

When I was uploading these pictures to the blog, I noticed that in almost everyone of Mel she has either her pacifier or hand in her mouth. I think she might be teething because she has had a runny nose for a week now and constantly has her fingers in her mouth. I kind of hope she is teething because she only has two teeth and is almost 11 months.

Vacation Bible School...

Vacation Bible School was 2 weeks ago and last Sunday the kids that participated sang songs during church that they learned throughout the week. B was in the preschool class. She had a lot of fun. There were two boys in her class that she became friends with and she refers to them as "my boys". I volunteered in the nursery. On Monday, I had FOUR infants under the age of ONE. The rest of the week I only had Mel and Nathan, Margaret's little brother. The theme for the week was "Studio Go Game Show".

Last year, Margaret was too scared to drive the gator. This year she is a little more adventurous...

She wasn't the best at steering. She hit the clothesline pole...

and the electric pole. So, then it was time for B to take over.

They had a blast!
