Harvest...

Harvest is in full swing around here...
It is early this year because of the dry summer we experienced...

My cousin, Eric, welded a new grate for the "dump pit".

It is supposed to make dumping grain more efficient.

Brad said he can now dump a semi load of grain in seven minutes.

Mel and Tuff like to sit and watch all the action...

Normally, we don't have a person lying under the semi.

I know that is a HUGE safety issue :)

Eric was just checking to make sure everything was working properly...

Let's pray that all the wonderful farmers out there have a safe and successful harvest!

B's First Day of School...

B had her first day of preschool yesterday. She was a little nervous...and so was I.
She wanted me to stay with her.
Last year I substituted for several days and she got to come with me.
This time I had to leave.
She told me I couldn't because she wasn't 5 yet.
She started playing with some toys and Mel and I snuck out the door.
When I went to pick her up she came running to the car and said, "You can leave tomorrow. I will be fine."

Once she was home..she started playing teacher....

The first day was a success, now I am off to pick her up from the second day.
